Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into a family in South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss as is her mom who's English. She was raised on a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. She was a student at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained a BA in acting. She was a part of various stages during her high time at school, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe got her start in acting through a short film called Storm Damage. The actress has been an actor for Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakthrough came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Following that she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. Also, the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl was her first appearance in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe was also a part of 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009, with the thriller The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes prior to being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was in the episodes in the series' first two seasons as a regular. In May of 2013, it was announced that announcement was made that she would quit the show due to her guest appearance in the opening episode for its third season. In the television series Salem, she played Tituba in 2014 through 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time lover, Iddo. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated with each other on Salem and also he played an appearance with her on that show.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, comes from a large Hamilton family. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey throughout the winter as well as in the summer. She grew up in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley could not walk but danced. This led to the fact that at the age of 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, tap and jazz in the high divisions. She was the top soloist in big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
